We are from out of town and came to Palm Desert to get away from L.A. for a bit. Saw there was Cuban food and live music! Babaloo's on Thursday evening was amazing. The staff were all very attentive. The drinks were on point. The Bartender came to take our personal requests. The waitress was personable and sweet and the music was very lively and fun (Woody & The Retros). The Cuban sandwich was big and authentic and the ribeye was cooked perfectly. We'll be back when we come back.

Stumbled upon this unique restaurant/lounge and had a great evening. It was like stepping into the Copacabana with the Cuban flair and decor. The service at the bar was great so we decided to stay for dinner. The hostess and the server were excellent and the food was delicious. Highly recommend!!

Bababloo lounge deserves 5 stars based on the cubano sandwich alone!! I have come back to BaBaLoo for this sandwich every time and it is always delicious I've never had a sandwich like it! This trip I also decided to order the jalapeño poppers. I do think that they weren't as tasty but again, the cubano and the fries make up for it. I also loved this margarita it was really refreshing and yummy the service is always great and timely! I think the babaloo lounge is a great place to have brunch, maybe a birthday meal or just a casual lunch

It's like I stepped back in time - (more the 80s for me) at a old glamorous hotel from the Desi & Lucy era and this was their lobby lounge with a live band -(however, not Ricky's obviously) but good band playing old school music popular with middle aged, but also favored with younger people. Well it's a restaurant and bar, with a separate area where the band is and it's large all around. That said, this was a pleasant surprise for us, having a few drinks and listening to the band. Bartenders were welcoming and accommodating - made me a drink I requested not normally served, it was good. Sat at the bar till I finally persuaded the husband to sit by the band. There was a couple of friends dancing and enjoying the music, they flagged me over to join them and it turned out it was someone's birthday, it was fun! Come for the drinks & ambience, stay for the band and any impromptu/spontaneous happenings After they left, I made my husband dance with me and for people our age it wasn't too embarrassing:) Didn't get to try the food but will have to next time we stay out here. This definitely boosted my spirits as I had an uneasy, insulting experience a few days ago at the RetroRoom lounge from their bartender.

First time here, it's a must try. Food and drinks were so delicious, service was on point, and we had great music. Will most definitely return with the whole family. Nice choices, Peruvian and Cuban some of my favorites.

We live 2 blocks from BaBaLoo Lounge. It's been closed for ages yet apparently reopened recently. We wanted to try 'something new' for lunch today. BaBaLoo had a sign in front stating OPEN. Interior is quite pretty. Lots of different seating options, lovely outdoors when the weather is normal again. I could see coming back here at night. Would like to experience their live music while chilling at the bar. The menu is interesting. It's a mix of Cuban, Peruvian and bar food, I guess. Tons of options. I was in the mood for soup and salad. For some reason those options were just not on today's menu. Our bartender/waiter Ian is the reason I'm giving this place 4 stars. If it weren't for Ian this would be a 2-to-3-star place. Ian was funny, knowledgeable and charming in an old school way. He made the dining experience enjoyable for us. MOJITO $15. Strong pour, solid 4-star cocktail. Why 4-star? Because they did not muddle the mint. When you muddle the mint, you extract the flavors and oils. It was a tasty strong drink. Add muddling? 5-stars. SHRIMP COCKTAIL $22. Nice presentation, ice-cold. Cocktail sauce was perfect. Huge shrimp cleaned perfectly. Cooked a tad too long. Shrimp is a finicky fish. Undercook it and you have mush, overcook it and the shrimp are a tad tough. It was also crazy expensive for 3 shrimp. The more I pay the more I tend to expect. Dan had a Cuban sandwich with shoestring fries. He said it was a 4-star sandwich. Huge portion. I tasted the fries. Not very good. Will I return? Yup. They have some good Happy Hour specials. I would also like to experience live music.

Great service A perfect drink. I love the variety of food Food was perfect. I travel all over USA and Mexico working And I really admire a restaurant that is unique and the food is perfect. God bless.
